CIF and the Peter McVerry Trust Project

25/01/2016 Posted by Doreen Molloy - Communications Manager | Comments(0)

The CIF were the driving force behind this extremely worthwhile initiative with the Peter McVerry Trust where a derelict building in Hogan Court has been converted to 12 housing units and was completed on time to be occupied by homeless people before Christmas.

Over a 10 week period, the CIF have co-ordinated a huge effort by the construction sector who have provided over 10,000 man hours to complete this task.

Although CPAS were unable to get involved in the day to day building project, we did sponsor this excellent project by hosting a “Thank You” event for the numerous workers that have turned up on site and made this happen.

I’m sure you will agree that it is great to see such involvement and generosity from the Construction Sector and the final result is amazing.
